Account and sync
Profile data is stored both on your computer and on the server — encrypted. That's how a profile opens from any of your computers and for your teammates.
When data is uploaded to the server
When the profile is closed. Under the name in the list you'll see Syncing… or “Saving data”. Until the data is uploaded, the profile stays locked to this computer — so an outdated version can't be opened on another one.
When data is downloaded
On launch. If the server has a newer version than this computer, it's downloaded before the browser opens.
One profile — one device
While a profile is open by one person or on one computer, everyone else sees it marked In use, along with who has it open. Learn more in Profile in use and locks.
What's encrypted
Cookies, tabs, history, proxy passwords and 2FA keys are encrypted on your computer before upload. The server stores only ciphertext. Learn more in How encryption works.
