2FA keys live right in the profile: codes appear on the browser’s start page and in the extension, and the keys travel with the profile when it’s transferred to a member. Nothing is stored in the extension; codes are computed on the fly.

Secrets travel with the profile
2FA keys are part of the profile: they’re encrypted with it and handed over when the profile is transferred to a member. The server sees them only as ciphertext, and nothing is stored in the extension.

How do I add a 2FA key?
Paste an otpauth:// link or a bare secret (base32) and a name, and the code appears right away with a timer. Standard TOTP (RFC 6238), just like Google Authenticator.
Where do I see the codes?
On the profile browser’s start page and in the companion extension. One click copies the code to the clipboard.
What happens when a profile is transferred?
The 2FA keys go with the profile, so the new owner sees current codes right away. Secrets aren’t stored in the extension; they’re encrypted together with the profile.
