Install on macOS
GetAntik installs in a minute. The installer is small; the browser itself (a Chromium build) is downloaded once, on first launch.
Installation
- Download the .dmg from the Download page.
- Open the file and drag GetAntik into the Applications folder.
- Launch GetAntik from Applications or via Spotlight.
First launch: browser download
On first launch, a Downloading browser bar appears at the top of the window. This happens only once. Until the download finishes, the profiles' Launch button is unavailable.
If the download is interrupted, the same bar shows a Retry or Download browser button.
Apple signing and updates
The build is signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS doesn't warn about an unidentified developer. New versions arrive automatically — see App updates.
Possible errors
The browser isn't installed. Profiles can't launch without it.
Why: The browser download on first launch didn't finish: the internet dropped, the app was closed, or a VPN interfered.
What to do: Click Download browser or Retry in the bar at the top of the window and wait for it to finish. If it keeps failing, turn off your VPN during the download.
The browser isn't downloaded yet. Click “Download browser” at the top of the window and wait for the download to finish.
Why: A profile was launched before the browser finished downloading.
What to do: Wait for the download at the top of the window to finish, then launch the profile.
There's no browser build for this system yet.
Why: GetAntik currently runs on macOS. A Windows version is in the works.
What to do: Use a Mac. Keep an eye on the Download page.
