Proxy in a profile
The proxy is set in the profile settings, in the Proxy and network section. All profile traffic, including DNS, goes through the proxy.
Ways to set a proxy
- Paste as a line — paste a line and the fields fill in automatically (or click Parse).
- From the proxy list — pick one from the proxy manager.
- Choose from HollyProxy — proxies you bought from HollyProxy, with the SOCKS5 if available checkbox.
- Manually: Connection (HTTP / SOCKS5), Host and port, Username and password.
Connection check
The Check button shows the exit IP, city, country and time zone. If the time zone and language are set to “By IP”, they're taken from here.
WebRTC
Proxy only (recommended), Public address only or Unrestricted. The last option can reveal your real IP.
Proxy from the list in a table row
Click the Proxies cell in the profile list: No proxy, the HollyProxy section, From the proxy manager or Another proxy…. You can't change the proxy of a running profile — stop it first.
If you manually change the address, login or password of a HollyProxy proxy, the profile is unlinked from HollyProxy and stops showing the expiry date and traffic. To switch proxies, click Choose another.
Possible errors
Running ones (N) left unchanged: the proxy can only be changed on a stopped profile.
Why: The proxy is applied when the browser launches.
What to do: Stop the profiles and assign the proxy again.
